Member Spotlight - Austin Hoffer
Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Austin is 33 years of age and partnered with Abel Beck – an MBCA Peachtree Member! He moved to the Atlanta Metro when he was 19.
Austin has been a Mortgage Banker for the last 10 years (December 2025 anniversary). He spends a lot of time investing in his career. However, his first job was working at Arby’s. Maybe that was the beginning of his joy of cooking now.
In his spare time, Austin has been practicing yoga since 2018 and has his 200 HR yoga certification. They also spend a lot of time with their six cars. Otherwise, he loves having time outdoors and on the water. Skiing and paddle boarding are some of his favorites! He also squeezes in trips to the Mountains.
Austin’s favorite place in the World is anywhere with water. Mountains + Water = Paradise.
Growing up around cars with his maternal grandfather who was in the business of restoring cars, Austin got Car Fever. Although his grandfather loved Corvettes (so did Austin), he was always drawn to German automobiles. In middle school, his mother bought a black/black 2000 ML320 Lorinser. He learned to drive in that car.
He also remembers his Great Aunt Melba swinging by his grandparent’s house in her 1997 Smoke Silver SL320. The R129 was always one of his favorite vehicles. In May of 2023, he purchased that same SL320 from Great Aunt Melba, and it holds a very special place in his heart. Austin and Abel also have a 1988 560SL, a 2002 C230, and a recently added a 1999 CLK430. If Austin could own any model/year Mercedes, the list would include an early 1990s 500SL, a recent S Class coupe and an early 2000s G Wagon!
Austin’s partner, Abel, keeps him laughing almost 24/7. “Humor makes everything better!” According to Austin, you can't go wrong with Italian food. Amore e Amore is one of his favorites in Atlanta!
He enjoys any book that is mentally stimulating. Austin loves learning how to look at things from different perspectives. The music is always on and is varied. A good documentary on TV is appreciated. He also cruises Netflix for the next series to binge.
Yes, Austin is an Animal Lover. 3 dogs and 3 fish, and a new addition to the crew! The dogs are: Portia (17 years old, Shih-Tzu and Maltese mix), Beau (12 years old, Havanese), and Bella (10 years old, Miniature Maltese). All three fish are Bettas and their names are Gianni, Georgio, and Giuseppe). The newest addition is a leopard gecko!
An interesting fact about Austin is that he was in the Junior Olympic Dive Circuit for 4 years, which took him throughout the US.
An item on his bucket list is to have a huge garage with a collection of cars. Austin works remotely. It is his intention when he retires to have the freedom to travel and experience all that life has to offer. Austin wants to be remembered for being a positive influence in other people’s lives. “Kindness moves mountains.”
