It was a beautiful day on Saturday, October 19th, when the Bluegrass Stars Chapter joined the Cincinnati Section on a trip to the Old Friends Farm, in Georgetown,  Kentucky. Such a wonderful place, and so many Champions to see - the first Kentucky Derby winner, a  beautiful Thoroughbred that was blind in one eye and still able to race - and win! Big Brown was there too. The care and love these wonderful animals receive there is heart warming.  They are even honored in death at the Farm. If you haven't visited, you really should.

After the tour,  we visited Fava's restaurant in Georgetown for lunch, before doing a little shopping in downtown Georgetown.
